Hab mit deiner Methode auf die Custom gedowngraded. kann ich auch ohne Sim Karte jetzt auf die reguläre 2.0 drauf gehen und "aktivieren"? Bzw gibts ne Möglichkeit die Aktivierung zu skippen/auszuführen ohne Sim und ohne Jailbreak? Sonst bleibt ich halt auf der Custom, ist eigentlich rein aus Nostalgie Gründen, habe mein iPhone 4 auf 4.3.5 gebracht und vor paar Jahren ein 2G auf 1.1.1 (Tmobile deswegen gehts nichts tiefer). :) Wäre cool wenn du das weisst?

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I have changed my home button and bought external home button but sadly not working. Try to restart couple of times, doesn't solve the problem. Can't even connect with iTunes. Took my phone to nearest local store and they suggested to change the home button instead when I already changed it. If anyone can help, appreciate it :)

There is a problem with this. I want to do it with newer iPhones but I want to flash older versions with n1ghtshade. If I wanna do that first I do this DFU thing and after I flashed with n1ghtshade I going to be in recovery. So this DFU thing going to flash the iOS and it's going to fail so it's gonna stuck at DFU but I can't do tethered boot because I have iOS 10 files instead of iOS 6 files on my iPhone

This is for those stuck on a white screen with "press home to upgrade". Solved: If restore from Recovery Mode is not working, try DFU mode, I got it to work using this way. To put your iphone in DFU, mine is iPhone 7, connect the cable, press and hold power and volume down for exactly 10 seconds, then release the power button only, keep holding the volume down button. Your screen will stay black, but iTunes will show that it is connected to recovery, this is actually DFU mode. To confirm you're in DFU, note that your phone screen will be black, and iTunes will only show the Restore button, Update button will be greyed out. Then just restore, you'll be good to go. Note: my home button was not working, and after the restore, assistive touch showed up from the start by itself.
